FAQs
How long does an interior project take?
Two things decide it: whether the walls move and how quickly decisions are made. Interior design, with the shell unchanged, is the shorter of the two. Interior architecture adds drawings, approvals where they apply, and time on site. We agree a schedule with you before the work starts and we hold the dates that are ours.
Do you work to a set budget?
Yes, and it is agreed at proposal stage, before anything is specified. Furniture, materials and finishes are chosen against that number rather than presented and priced afterwards. You are told what a choice costs at the moment you make it.
Do you supervise the work on site?
Yes, through to handover. Where the interior needs building, our own construction company does it, so supervision is not a service we buy from someone else.
Do you work outside Lisbon?
Yes. We work across the country, and most decisions are made remotely regardless of distance. Site presence is planned in blocks so the level of supervision does not change with the address.
What is the difference between interior architecture and interior design?
Interior architecture changes the space itself: layout, circulation, light, and the drawings that make it buildable. Interior design changes everything inside it: materials, furniture, lighting and objects. Many projects use both, and the proposal says which applies where.
Do I have to be in Portugal during the project?
No. Decisions are presented as a small number of options rather than open questions, and you see the finished space before it is built. Most clients visit at the start and at handover.
Do you handle the furniture, or do I buy it myself?
We specify, source, order, track and install. Deliveries, lead times, damaged items and replacements stay with us. You approve the selection and then it arrives in place.
How involved will I have to be?
As much as you want, and never more than necessary. We reduce the decisions to the ones that genuinely change how the space works and take responsibility for the rest.
What happens if something is delayed or arrives damaged?
It is handled before you hear about it, and you are told either way. Lead times are checked at specification, alternatives are identified in advance for anything critical, and nothing on the schedule depends on a single supplier.
