About the project
The SOOMA Spa project emerges as an essential complement to the Padel Core club, located in Marinha Grande. Inserted into a modern sports complex, the spa was designed to unite performance, recovery, and well-being. The space integrates different environments – from changing rooms and physiotherapy rooms to sauna and cryotherapy areas. Every detail of the project seeks to create an atmosphere of serenity and comfort, reinforcing the connection between body and mind. Combining organic forms, sensory materials, and soft light, the spa promotes an immersive and regenerative experience.

Challenge
The challenge was to design a space that would complement the club (Padel Core) experience, offering rest after physical exertion. The solution had to be aesthetically integrated into Padel Core, maintaining visual and functional coherence. Also, it was important to differentiate the club from the competition, raising the quality standard through a unique offering. The spa, therefore, needed to meet both the demands of athletes and the expectations of the local community.
Aproach
The architectural and interior design approach focused on minimalist, fluid, and adaptable environments, favoring formal clarity. The layout was designed with curved lines, creating fluidity and harmony between spaces, in a clear association with the shapes and curves of the human body. The materials were selected to create tactile and visual comfort, with a predominance of wood, neutral tones, black accents, and terracotta. The lighting was conceived as an emotional element, capable of inducing calm and deceleration. Thus, the SOOMA Spa embodies a protected core that celebrates the balance between athletic performance, conviviality, and well-being.
