INTERIOR DESIGN
What is not inherited.

What is not inherited.

The location came with the property. The proportions, with the building. Everything else, with you.

THE WORK

Felt long before it is understood.

What makes a property singular is not what it contains, but the way everything in it relates. It is felt on arrival and impossible to describe on the way out.

Looking for Interior Architecture?

Our quiet distinctions.

01 · Composition

Not assembled. Nothing is chosen on its own. A material is judged against the light that will fall on it, the piece in front of it and the hour of the day you will be in the room. That is why a house done this way reads as one thing rather than a collection of good decisions.

02 · The value is in the access

Not in the selection. Not every door is open, and access takes years to build, so it cannot be handed over.

03 · Discretion

Nothing is photographed, published or shown without prior consent. Some properties will never be seen by anyone.

04 · Continuity

A fabric is discontinued, a room changes use. We keep a record of everything that was specified, and it is there whenever it is needed again.

Designed to hold people longer than they planned.

ARBOR · Quinta da Marinha, Cascais

Quinta da Marinha, Cascais. Different generations, different routines, and each with a place of its own. The bedrooms serve rest and work; the shared floors adjust to whoever is there that week. Fine wooden slats, drawn from the pine trunks outside, run through the walls and the furniture across every level.

The principles that come before every decision.

01

01 · Permanence

We design for the hundredth impression, when the property has been lived in, changed, and lived in again.

02

02 · Subtraction

The easiest way to finish a space is to fill it. We almost always return a proposal with less, and the difference lies in the pieces that carry it.

03

03 · Origin

Few people can describe their own taste, and those who can are often describing someone else’s. It shows in what they keep, what they refuse and where they hesitate.

04

04 · Intention

A piece that stays out of inertia costs a room more than one that was chosen. We identify what is already there, what is worth keeping, what would gain from being restored, and what is quietly undermining the whole.

Nothing left unresolved.

hero

A project also lives in its details: where a lamp is connected, how a door closes, where the joinery ends. None is large, all are visible. They stay with BONDURANT, treated with the same care as a full build.

Bring the ambition. We take it from there.
