About the project
The "Tidal Treasures" project was conceived to transform a private residence in Carcavelos, Portugal, into a modern and elegant coastal retreat. Drawing inspiration from the family's proximity to the sea and Polish cultural roots, the design harmonizes the seaside lifestyle with comfort and sophistication. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms across 190 square meters, the house is crafted to celebrate natural light, spaciousness, and a balance between functionality and a welcoming aesthetic.

Challenge
The primary challenge was optimizing the layout to ensure luminosity and fluidity without sacrificing family comfort. Integrating personal and cultural elements, such as art and sentimental objects, had to be done harmoniously to maintain elegance. Additionally, the design aimed to maximize the connection between the interior and exterior, promoting a seamless transition that fosters conviviality and relaxation in a peaceful and inviting environment.
Aproach
The design approach at "Tidal Treasures" merges coastal aesthetics with sophisticated modernity. Natural materials like light wood and soft fabrics, combined with a serene color palette, evoke the tranquility of local beaches. The design emphasizes natural light through large windows and doors that connect the interior with the garden, creating a sense of spaciousness and continuity. Functional spaces were designed to support the family's creative and productive lifestyle, while ensuring comfort and hospitality are ever-present. This project celebrates coastal living, tailored to the family's refined taste and cultural heritage.
