About the project
Tagus Breeze is the modern reinterpretation of a 93m² three-bedroom apartment in the historic Restelo neighborhood in Lisbon. This renovation project balances modernity with respect for the property's original character, transforming it into an optimized solution for the rental market. The proposal aims to create a functional and contemporary space without losing the essence of its past, by preserving characteristic elements such as the original wooden flooring while introducing improvements that enhance the living experience.

Challenge
The main challenge of this project was to redefine the interior layout to maximize functionality and rental potential while maintaining the apartment's architectural identity. The need to update the spaces required a careful approach, ensuring that modernization did not compromise the original character of the property. Additionally, it was crucial to integrate efficient and practical design solutions that catered to the demands of a cosmopolitan audience without exceeding the established budget constraints.
Aproach
The intervention focused on a strategic renovation where functionality and aesthetics complement each other harmoniously. The kitchen was modernized, promoting a seamless connection with the living room through the introduction of custom cabinetry and integrated appliances for more practical and efficient use. The bathrooms were fully renovated with durable finishes and ergonomic solutions, while the entrance hall, living room, and bedrooms retained the original wooden flooring, carefully restored to enhance the ambiance and reinforce the identity of the space. The material and color palette feature a clean aesthetic with neutral tones, wood accents, and black details, providing a sophisticated and timeless atmosphere perfectly aligned with the expectations of today's rental market.
