About the project
A project located in Alcanena, Santarém, Portugal, on a land with a longitudinal shape and a large slope to the east, supported by a series of terraces in stone, where olive trees, laurels, holm oaks, and a fragrance of rosemary persist. On the horizon, it is possible to witness a valley belonging to the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros. An integral part of the land, raised on a stone terrace, is a viewpoint over the treetops, where the presence of the valley becomes the background image of all the compartments. The villa was designed to relax, interact with nature, and enjoy the time.

Challenge
To create a home that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings and provides a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere for its residents.
Aproach
Our architect used the natural materials available in the area, such as stone and wood, to create a villa that blends harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. The villa was designed to have an open plan and large windows to maximize the views and bring natural light into the interior. Outdoor living spaces were also designed to provide comfortable and relaxing areas for the residents to enjoy the surrounding nature.
