Mystic Senses

The biggest challenge of this project was to create a balance between modernity and family comfort while seeking to maintain a strong connection with nature and the mountainous setting of Sintra. It was a requirement that each space be functional and welcoming, without losing the sense of mystery and discovery, elements intrinsic to the natural surroundings. Another challenge was to ensure that the interior made the most of the beauty of the landscape, visually integrating it into the spaces, without compromising the privacy and intimate nature of the environments.

The Mystic Sense approach was inspired by the mystical atmosphere of Sintra, seeking to create a spatial experience that unfolds gradually and surprisingly. The architecture and interior design were designed to maximize the entry of natural light and privileged views, promoting a subtle and refined elegance. The use of noble and natural materials, such as Calacatta marble and bronze details, brings sophistication, while the choice of contemporary lines in the furniture, soft textures, and a neutral color palette reinforces the contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen will be the heart of the home, with a central island and dark cabinets contrasted by light countertops, ensuring a functional and attractive environment. In children's rooms, playful elements, such as a climbing wall, will integrate with smart design to create versatile spaces. The living spaces were designed to integrate family and social life, while the outdoor areas, such as terraces and gardens, were carefully planned to function as natural extensions of the interior spaces, offering areas for contemplation and relaxation in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
