About the project
This beautiful villa is located just 5 km from the famous beaches of Lagos and is rich in memories, combining the natural affection of the grandmother's house, memories of family summers, the calm of a rural environment, the presence of the sea, and the unforgettable taste of oranges that still grow in the backyard. All compartments were designed with natural materials, stripped of richness, and traditional construction methods, honoring the family legacy as well as the local roots.

Challenge
The challenge was to create a design that pays homage to the family's memories and traditions while incorporating modern comforts and amenities. The goal was to create a comfortable and functional space that also sparked nostalgia and recollections of the family's past.
Aproach
Our approach was to prioritize natural materials and traditional construction methods, creating a design that was both contemporary and respectful of the family's heritage. We designed the upper floor to recreate and spark memories of the leisure experience of the traditional Algarve house. We also incorporated modern amenities to ensure that the family's current needs were met while still honoring the past. The villa's location, surrounded by nature and the sea, inspired us to create a space that seamlessly blended indoors and outdoors, allowing the family to enjoy the natural surroundings and make new memories.
